The BizTrek programs and materials are provided in each of our communities through a direct licensing arrangement designed to build a significant local presence. There are no franchise fees and there are no revenue sharing charges ... just a small monthly trademark licensing fee that entitles you to unlimited use of our program materials and processes.

There is very little up-front risk. We believe that we should profit alongside our licensees rather than straddle them with excessive fees before they even get started.

BizTrek's objective is to create a growing network of professional marketing mentors who are able to help business owners grow their enterprise faster, easier and with less financial risk. Our proprietary tools and processes have been carefully tested and proven in hundreds of different industries and situations!

We have found seven skills or characteristics that best help predict a person's ability to build a successful BizTrek presence in their community. We would like you to consider these while determining whether an affiliation with BizTrek make sense for you.

1) A local business network: Having a good community knowledge and a starting base of business relationships makes your task much easier. Although not required, existing local alliances will speed the growth process ... and your income.

2) Proven marketing or sales experience: Being able to sell yourself as a credible marketing professional with proven and real world experience to supplement the BizTrek materials and processes is crucial. We generally look for at least 10 years of successful experience in either the sales, media relations, advertising, direct response, or even the professional fund raising arena.

3) Self-Assured: We look for people who are comfortable with some degree of uncertainty and who have strong confidence in their ability to get things done. As in every entrepreneurial environment, your income will be directly tied to your ability to produce results.

4) Public speaking experience: Since many of our programs are delivered to small groups, you should be fairly comfortable in the public speaking arena.

5) Closing skills: As in any business, you have to ask for the order, so some successful sales and closing experience improves your liklihood of success.

6) Command presence: We look for people who exhibit a "take charge" attitude from a position of mutual respect.

7) Creative Capacity: You should exhibit an aptitude for "thinking on your feet" and sharing stories from your pool of experience to reinforce a crucial point of instruction.

If you have these skills, you may be well positioned for success as a member of the BizTrek team. If you have most of them, your odds are still strong and we will welcome the opportunity to chat with you. If you do not have most of these skills or characteristics, then you may wish to consider other alternatives.


HOW TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP

If you would like to take the next steps towards joining the BizTrek team, please send your resume and cover letter to us at the address shown at the bottom of this page. In your cover letter, please provide a commentary of your self-perception in the seven areas outlined above.

Once we receive your resume and cover letter, we will conduct our preliminary review, and if appropriate, establish a time for a telephone interview with you. Based on the interview results, we may schedule a second interview. If that process concludes successfully, we will conduct a background check and personality profile. If we feel that you are still a good match for the BizTrek culture and opportunity, then an opportunity to join our team through a licensing agreement may be extended.
