« My Favorite Contact Manager »

OPrius

I have been asked several times over the past few weeks about the new contact management software I am using.

For many years, I have been a faithful fan of ACT.  It has worked well for BizTrek.  Last year, I switched over to Oprius, an ONLINE contact management system and I have become a big fan!  The features I loved about ACT are present in Oprius and it adds a lot more too!

Here are the functions I use and love about Oprius.

1. It allows me to create customized contact fields that I need to track.

2. It allows me to create customized groups (or companies) and place people into as many groups as I like for cross-referencing.

3. It has an integrated calendar and email system so I can have a record of communications and appointments.

4. It allows notes and phone logs so I can keep a history of important thoughts and conversations.

5. Oprius has an excellent scheduling system for future phone calls and appointments.  You can also schedule tasks and put them out of your mind until they are due.

6. Oprius provides nifty web landing page function that allows you to customize multiple pages when you want to capture leads from your web site(s).  They are easy to modify and maintain.

7. It has an awesome sales process mechanism, allowing you to track and manage the progress of your prospects as you strive to convert them into customers.

8. If you want to send out an email or other communication to just one or more groups, you can simply choose that group.  All of your contacts are there.  You can even choose which of your own email addresses to send it from!

9.  There is also a handy notepad feature right on the screen so you can jot down any salient facts while you’re speaking on the phone to remember for next time.  I don’t have to remember to transfer the information later from a scrap of paper to the computer.  It’s saved automatically in that client’s profile.

10. Oprius allows multiple users into the database at the same time, and I have never had any conflicts or problems.   Since Oprius is an online “cloud” system, those users can be anywhere in the world.  A virtual assistant can be using the database to confirm appointments while I am making notes or phone calls to clients … all at the same time … and instantly updated.

Many businesses have in-house contact management software which often costs a fortune.  Generally they are also bloated (many features I would not need) and are often memory hogs.  Oprius has pared itself down for use by individuals, multi-level marketers, small businesses and even groups such as clubs or community groups.  I highly recommend Oprius, which gives you a free 30-day trial to try it out.  Click on the link to the right to give it a spin!
