« The Story Of Cherokee Wolves »
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all." "One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego." "The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed." ................ During these wild times, which wolf is your business feeding?

This is a great reminder. What would be some real world examples of both? I know how tempting it is the pull back or start raising prices or the feeling of wanting to crawl into a hole.
One thing I have been doing to both help myself and others is I have been offering to give a hand to fellow business people where I have been getting paid a little and and in turn they are doing all they can to spread the word about me by pass out business cards and giving in other ways than money. These are interesting times but I am learning more now than I have in years. I'm also defying conventional wisdom and working in unique was to give and in turn being given too.
Patrick ... in tough and stressful times many people fall into self-centeredness. They almost seem to panic looking for ways to produce more revenue, at almost any cost. They lose sight of their customer's needs and concentrate of their own. That becomes the evil wolf. Wisdom dictates that you never lose sight of the customer's needs. Be more concerned about their well being than your own, and the good wolf will fed ... and you will be rewarded.
Thanks for the clarification of that Gil. I am in fact working on that in some very creative ways. Times have been tough be I have been feeding the good wolf and happiness, learning and happening and the seeds are being planted.
